I recently had a dilemma with my makeup. I'm all about a dewy look but lately I noticed that especially in pictures (or throughout the course of the day) I'm starting to look shiny. I immediately began searching high and low for the perfect powder but I felt like many of them made my skin look dull or emphasized my pores and lines.
After searching and testing out many powders, I decided to take it a step back and change my foundation. I'm always looking for the perfect foundation since I am constantly on the hunt for flawless and natural looking skin (or at least faking it). Without hesitation, I landed on Dior's Diorskin Airflash Spray. Although I had heard about this product before, I was hesitant to buy it because it almost sounded too good to be true. You mean I can just spray my face on and it's going to look perfect? I finally gave it a shot and I was blown away.
I instantly told friends and family to run, not walk, to the mall to buy this amazing beauty breakthrough. Initially, I was taking a risk by using this for an important party. I love trying new things because it just makes getting ready more exciting. So instead of spraying it directly on my face, I sprayed it onto my kabuki brush and applied in a circular motion onto my face. I wanted to go a little darker than my regular skin so I chose Medium Beige 300. I cannot tell you how confident I felt at that party. I felt like my skin was so beautiful and I didn't look like I had a lot of makeup on. It is truly an amazing product.
I still wanted a bit of powder, since lately I have been obsessed with the perfect powdery finish that I see girls walking around wearing. I went directly to Laura Mercier. I purchased Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15 since I liked how fine the powder was. Classic Beige was my color of choice, I love how it pairs up with the Diorskin Airflash Spray. All you have to do is use a large fluffy brush and go over areas that tend to appear shiny.
The verdict? Diorskin Airflash Spray and Laura Mercier Mineral Powder are a match-made in "makeup" heaven.
