The Rochas spring 2015 collection is the definition of femininity. Hair was a simple chic side-part, makeup was minimal, including doll-like exaggerated lashes and a hint of baby blue eyeshadow, and the delicately bird printed looks had a fragile yet ethereal feel to them.

Although lately natural looking faces are the new “in”, I was in search of some color – just to serve as a fun reminder that it was Spring. Nothing too over the top but perhaps for my love of the ocean, blue was on my mind. Not an easy color for Middle Eastern girls to pull off. We may be all feeling safe with our neutrals and browns. But to be completely honest, I, like many woman out there, just got bored of the same look. I found myself desperately seeking a pop of color here and then.

It was refreshing to see the light blue eye shadow on the Rochas runway. The models also had a spot of dark black in the center of their under eye, which may be cool for the doll-like runway look, but for the day it may look like your mascara has smeared. Follow these easy brief steps that will make you look like a doll in no time.

SKIN:

Dior's Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation in Medium Beige 300 is my new favorite foundation. It is the perfect combination of coverage resulting in a not too matte, not too dewy complexion. Spray this on your entire face or onto a brush. I like to use it with the NARS Ita Kabuki Brush. It's nice to just skip concealer for a change; this has enough coverage and just gives you that doll-like perfection this look needs.

EYES:

Apply Nars’ Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base on the lids. Always use an eyebase especially when the eyes are the main focus of the beauty look. This will make your color really pop and will keep it from disappearing throughout the day or night. Using only two colors from Stila, I start off by blending Puppy from the Stila Eyeshadow Compact and then my star color Mystic. Be very careful to use this only on the lid. It's very easy to accidently make this look appear outdated. So the best way to avoid that is by making an imaginary line with the bottom half of your lid, focusing your eyeshadow brush in the middle of the lid and just blending it out. Whatever you do, don't go above the crease.

Next, use your favorite dramatic mascara. You can try Benefit's They're Real for this look. Apply your mascara on the bottom lashes, using your wand vertically. Only put mascara in the center part of the bottom lashes. Next, put mascara on the outer half of your lashes. This will give them that desired effect which reminds me of the famous model Twiggy.

CHEEKS:

My favorite part of this makeup look, besides the shadow, is the blush. Nothing is more youthful than a soft pink blush. Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Afterglow is great to pull this off and it will stay intact all day and night.

LIPS:

The models didn't appear to have any lip tint on, but a sheer softly pink gloss with this look is flattering. Lancome's Lip Lover Dewy Color Lip Perfector in 316 Rose Attrape Coeur is it. You may have to write down the name to remember it but trust me it's worth remembering!
