3 Great Hairstyles for Eid

For beach waves get a rod without a clasp. Twist your hair all the way and leave the ends out. This is one of my favorite looks since it doesn't damage the hair and will not result in split ends. If you want to tone it down, just brush your hair out once you’re done and you will have big soft pretty waves. Otherwise grab a hair spray - I love Moroccan Oil Hair Spray since it adds shine while it holds and protects your hair from humid summer nights.

For sleek polished curls, use a curling iron right after blow-drying your hair straight. The longer your hair the thicker your curling iron should be so about one and half inches for medium length hair. Start at the root and slowly turn the rod downwards at the ends of your hair. You can also add a hairpin to one side for added glamour.

If your dress has a beautiful neckline and you want to get your hair out of the way another great hairstyle for Eid is a slick back bun. This look is also good if you tend to sweat easily. Your hair will be out of the way and you can feel cool and confident all night. For this look, all you have to do is put your hair in a ponytail, then twist it and make a simple bun. Secure with a few bobby pins. The best thing about this look is you can even do it right out of the shower.

Always consider your hair texture and dress style when picking a hairstyle but have fun with your hair and try different styles. If you feel you’re not that talented at doing your own hair then you can always opt for a hairdresser’s touch. Make sure to show them a few of your favorite pictures for a guide on what to do.

As Eid fast approaches, the easiest (and the most cost-efficient) way to change your look is through the hair. Whether you are wearing a simple black dress or an elegant sequined gown, your hair can make the biggest statement. For example, with a heavily embellished dress you can tone it down with a sleek straight look.

All is all, you might be putting away your curling iron soon since most of the runway looks for Fall 2015-16 are stick straight, however if you’re not ready to make that change here are two great options; beach waves or sleek polished curls.
