A beauty editor and most women are on the hunt 24 hours a day for the best hair dresser, best lipstick and best nail polish. This hunt is the endless search that is usually discussed between friends, sisters or even complete strangers. A woman most likely doesn't say hello to a person waiting in line at the bank or grocery store, unless she has an important question like " I love your nail polish" – hoping that the stranger will reply with the exact name and brand. These beauty secrets are shared daily through these encounters and all over the web thanks to social media. 

I have recently become slightly obsessed, so I haven't really left the house unless it's to grab a bite, with a show on Netflix called "Scandal". In case you are not familiar with the show, the star is Kerry Washington. Her main character is Olivia Pope who is this powerful woman that works in the White House and has the most elegant business attire. What does this have to do with nail polish? Well Olivia Pope just happens to have the most on point nude nails I have ever seen! Since the search has no boundaries, I ignore the show and quickly search like a mad woman for the name of this polish. Where is the first place you go these days to get info on anyone? It may have been Google in the past but these days, it's their Instagram page. I searched her Instagram and started searching #oliviapopenails. Apparently I was not the only one that shared this obsession. 

Her nails are medium length round and the most beautiful shades of nude that flatter her gorgeous skin tone. I was so happy to find that just a few weeks ago, she had posted a pic of one of her favorite nudes CHANEL LE VERNIS NAIL COLOUR Beige Pur 659. For those of us who love gel manicure, she also shared that she mixed two colors CND Shellac in Romantique layered over Cocoa or Cocoa as a base with Negligee over it. I can't wait for my next nail appointment to try this!
