As soon as the weather gets hot, the first thing I want to do is tie my hair up in a bun. Although this is a fun look sometimes, I wanted to find something that’s flirty and sexy but at the same time out of my face! I love this look because it is so easy to do, still look like you took time and effort and even gives you a mini face lift. From Ariana Grande to Jlo and Khloe Kardashian, this celebrity look is a sexy summer hairstyle that will give you a fun little change from your regular hair down look. So what is it? The half up ponytail, modified. Although the half up pony is also very sexy especially with a pair of cute earrings, I love the updated version of this classic look. 

After blow-drying your hair or even on the second day of your blow dry, grab just your bangs and a small section of your hair for a cute little ponytail. Use the arches of your eyebrows as a guide for where to start it. You know when you curl all of your hair and when you get to your bangs, they just don't want to behave? It could also be the second day of your blow dry and the front has gotten a little flat but the rest of your hair looks great. This hair style is also cute with curls. I even rock this with wavy beach hair if it's too hot out to blow-dry. The front of your hair is usually the hardest to deal with because we are constantly touching it and removing oils with our fingertips. Therefore, this area tends to get really frizzy too.

After you have made the pony tail grab a one inch piece of your hair and wrap it around the elastic to hide it. Secure it with a bobby pin underneath the elastic. This part is optional but it looks more polished, especially if you are opting for this hairdo for an evening look.
