Look of the Week - #FlashbackFriday Armani Privé SS14 'One Night in Paris'

For this look it's probably best to start with the eyes, since it can get really messy. Whenever you are doing your eyes start off with a color theme. Don't go overboard with too many eyeshadows, instead pick three colors which go well together. This trio should include one neutral matte color, a darker shade and perhaps one with shimmer since this is for evening. The full look reads as a silvery purple look which the artists at Armani referred to as "midnight".

Start off with a primer and cover your entire lid with a matte mauve color like MAC's Haux - taking it out and into the crease as well. Next, go over the outer crease with any dark brown or black shadow, don't be scared of getting messy, you can always wipe off any mistakes. With a clean brush, I like to use my ring finger, dab a touch of MAC Pigment in Grape onto the middle of the lid for a pop of color. Grab a clean brush and blend away.

This will form a pretty blend of colors onto your brush so use the tip (of the brush) to go under your eye for a smokey effect. Again don't be scared of racoon eyes, that is what makeup wipes are for. Grab a Q tip and a makeup wipe to clean around the edges where you feel you went too far out. Don't clean up too much as this smokey look needs to be soft looking and not too clean edged. To add even more definition, line the outer corners of your eye with a jet black liner.

Now that the eyes are done, you probably realized you spent way too much time on your eyes and only have a few minutes left to get ready. Don't worry the rest is very simple. Use a nice high coverage foundation that doesn't have any SPF (so it doesn't shine in pics) like Make up Forever Mat Velvet in Golden Beige #65. Angelika by NARS is a beautiful blush that goes with this look since it has a hint of shimmer. There is a touch of contour and highlight in this look, however since there was a lot of focus put into the eyes in order to keep it summer-friendly you can avoid the extra's.

Don't forget to apply a few coats of mascara or a pair of your favorite HUDA Beauty Lashes like the Monique #3.  CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE COLOUR & SHINE LIP GLOSS in #15 Sensible tops off this look balancing out the dark eyes with a soft neutral lip.

Now all you need is Mr. Armani to let you borrow that stunning head piece. A girl can dream!

Although this look is from last year's runway show, I still think it looks great for a summer wedding. It's soft and natural with mysterious smokey eyes, making it perfect for a special occasion. The bare looks of this season’s runway are great for summer days but I decided to flashback to last year's Privé show for my smokey eye fix. This is not your average smokey eye but an edgier twist with a mixture between clean lines and lots of smudging. Follow these DIY steps to achieve this beauty look that will have everyone at the wedding wondering about who did your makeup.
