Face

For the face, use MAC's Prolongwear Concealer in NW25 and blend it with the 217 Blending Brush.

TIP: Buy two brushes: one for eyeshadow and the other for liquid concealers.

Use the 130 Short Duo Fiber Brush to smoothen Mineralize Foundation in a NC cool shade. Use a circular wrist motion to blend it all over your face, focusing mostly on the center and blending out. This formula has light reflectors that make the foundation look like bare skin but in order to make this look a little more matte, like the runway look, I used the Mineralize loose powder in Medium and applied it with a big fluffy brush.

For blush, use a soft MAC color called Blushbaby. When using bright colors it's important to tone down the rest of your makeup.

Lips

For lips, line them with MAC's Boldly Bare and use Tom Ford's Blush Nude lip color. Brush up the brows a bit as well.

For the last step, apply YSL Shocking Mascara in Noir.

I left my hair down simply, dreamt about putting on an Elie Saab gown and then immediately jumped back into reality and threw on my jeans and heels. So excited about this new look, its edginess is perfect for the fun colorful spring season that's upon us.

The main detail in Elie Saab’s spring 2015 beauty look is undeniably the eyeliner. With a soft clean matte finish and nude lips, the striking look was finished off with a dramatic edgy eye. Here are a few steps you can use to recreate this look:

Eyes
Since the focus of this look is in the eyes, I believe it’s best to start off with that. First prep the skin with MAC's Prep and Prime.

Using Urban Decay Primer, dott a little bit of primer right under the eye.

Normally, I tend to go for black or brown liners so I honestly was a little concerned about using blue eyeliner – worried that I would look outdated. I was also under the impression that blue liner was only something a blonde fair-skinned woman could pull off.

To much surprise, the colors looked beautiful and edgy but they also made my brown eyes pop. I started off with my favorite MAC Nude Eye Shadow color in Orb all over my lid along with Haux in the crease. Then I used soft colors that would pair up nicely with the blue and made sure they don't overpower my eyeliner, as this would be the star of the show. When you think of fun colors MAC is definitely the best choice. I used several liners to achieve this look.

First I lined the outer end of my eyes with Costa Rica, which is a brown shade that pairs up nicely with the blue. Instead of eye shadow I used Long Wear Eyeliner in Cobalt by Laura Mercier to draw a half moon in the center lower half of my eyelid.

I then used a regular flat eye shadow brush to smudge this and make it look smokey.

Make sure to do one eye at a time since you have to smudge it out before it dries onto your lids completely. Then line the inner lower water line with MAC's Fascinating Eye Kohl. This white shade will make your eyes instantly look brighter. I found a beautiful shade from MAC's Prolong Wear Formula called Mountain Air. Focus on the inner top and bottom corners of the eye to achieve the Elie Saab runway look. I noticed that the makeup artist used one darker navy color and one lighter turquoise color.

TIP: Feel free to experiment with other shades of blue and don't be scared to go outside your comfort zone.

The biggest challenge with liner is usually lining the under eye but once I discovered the best tool to smudge it out, MAC's 219 Pencil Brush, things got a whole easier. This dense and pointy brush is perfect to use for this look and any other smokey looks.

Now that the eyes are complete, wipe any excess fall out with MAC's Makeup Wipes.
