You have ordered the cake, you and your florist have agreed on the arrangements, the guest list is done and you now have one week left to your wedding. At this point the stress has resided and you just wish for the best since it's too late to change anything. Your dress has arrived and fits beautifully, and you can finally focus on yourself since all the stressing has made your hair, skin and nails a mess.
With a few helpful tips you will be walking down the aisle looking as though your wedding planner took care of every detail while you had spent hours at the spa!
Countdown to the Big Day:
7th day - With one full week left, this is the time to relax and take care of your skin and the best way to do that is right before bedtime. Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II will have you waking up radiant and hydrated. Add this step to your skin routine to give you that radiant youthful glow.
6th day - You wake up and love how your skin looks but your hair is feeling dry and dull. It's too late to get a haircut since you preferably shouldn't take any beauty risks this week. All you need to do is put on Phyto's Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask while having your morning coffee, jump in the shower right after and follow with your usual shampoo and conditioner. This intense mask made-up of jojoba and coconut oil brings back shine to damaged and color-treated hair.
5th day - With the big day approaching, it's getting harder and harder to get a good night's sleep. The bags under your eyes are not a great look for your dream day so it's time to get rid of those bags with Benefit's Puff Off! eye gel. The gel can be used alone or even over your make up.
4th day - You go to your final dress fitting and on your way out you stop by your favorite swimwear boutique, mentally relaxing yourself with the thought of the honeymoon after. You find the perfect bikini but realize your skin can use some help. When you get home that evening use a nice body scrub in your shower such as La Prairie's Cellular Mineral Body Exfoliator and follow it up with a super hydrating body lotion such as Kiehl's Superbly Restorative Body Lotion.
3rd day - You are excited for the big day and equally for the honeymoon to follow. Now that your skin is exfoliated and hydrated you are ready to get a nice tan. You obviously don't have time to lay out but Clarin's Self Tanning Instant Gel will give you the perfect natural color so you can step out in your bikini feeling confident.
2nd day - With only a couple days left, this is pretty much the last night you can do anything major with your skin without worrying about irritating it. Use a gentle scrub on your face such as Laura Mercier's Flawless Skin Face Polish. Follow this with the Estee Lauder serum you have been using every night this week, along with a hydrating cream such as La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream.
1st day - You probably will not sleep well tonight but whether you pass out or toss around from being mentally costumed with last minute details, don't go to sleep without a powerful mask at bedtime. The Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Mask is ideal for all brides-to-be since it removes all signs of fatigue.
Congratulations! Today is your big day and the first order of business is a manicure. Without doubt, your choice of color probably has already been chosen. If not, Christian Louboutin's Nudes Collection is a sure bet. A good option would be the nude shade Just Nothing for it is natural and flawless looking and can easily compliment any beauty look or dress.
