The seventh annual amFAR Gala took place this week during Milan Fashion Week creating an even bigger buzz as the glamorous Italian city packed in the world’s most rich and fashionable to bid vast sums of money during a live auction to benefit AIDS research. The event held at La Permente started with a dinner and live auction that featured a live set by Debbie Harry, followed by a performance by Swedish electronic music duo, Icona Pop.

No one dresses up quite like the Italians as their audacious flare for fashion made the evening all the more exciting and dazzling. Socialites, designers and supermodels all in breathtaking jewels and high fashion creations were joined by Hollywood starlets like Dakota Johnson who stunned in a chic Dior black silk leather satin dress and Bulgari’s high jewelry necklace made of white gold and set with 61 round brilliant cut diamonds worth a total of 75.05 carats and a 3-carat round brilliant cut diamond, as well as platinum high jewelry earrings.

Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio donned a lime green minidress and Bulgari Serpenti 18-carat white gold pavé diamond necklace and Griffe white gold earrings set with 1.5 carats of diamonds. Fellow model Naomi Campbell who took the stage to announce the Award of Courage honoree accented her black Maison Margiela dress with Bulgari’s Serpenti earrings in white gold and full pavé diamonds and a high jewelry bracelet in white gold with pavé diamonds. “Project Runway” personality and fashion insider Nina Garcia elegantly chose Bulgari’s high jewelry bracelet in white gold with pavé diamonds for the event.
