Last week the leading ambassadors of L'Oréal Paris graced the Cannes 2015 red carpet. The group of beauties included model Barbara Palvin who showed up wearing a stunning red gown to the amfAR 22nd Cinema Against AIDS gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France. During the many events at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, celebrities reinvented their look daily.
Although you may not be invited to Cannes, think of this as if you had a wedding to go to. Couples usually have various events they invite their friends and family to during the wedding festivities and it’s always fun to change up your look for each event.
Hair and makeup along with what you wear is a form of expressing yourself, so it's always important to show different sides of your personality. The previous day, Barbara Palvin graced the red carpet with a bold and sexy eyeliner look, so the following day the L'Oréal team gave her a more subtle soft smokey look to compliment her stunning red gown. She had also worn her hair up on the previous day prior so leaving it hair down allowed for her to have a new look completely.
The L'Oréal team started off by washing her hair with TR5 Shampoo. Between blow dryers, curling irons and flat irons, we are all guilty of abusing our hair. L'Oréal TR5 Shampoo reverses the damage using a Pro-Keratine and Ceramide enriched formula. Using a round brush they blowdried her hair, making it look super soft and shiny.
What does the 5 stand for? Damage, Thinning, Split-Ends, Brittleness and Dullness are all the concerns that TR5 reverses. After using TR5, results have proven that hair feels stronger, looks fuller, revitalized, has a healthy shine and feels silkier.
While Palvin was getting her hair done, her makeup artist used this time to prep her skin by using a unique blend of 8 essential oils: lavender, marjoram, roman chamomile, orange peel, rosemary, geranium and lavandin. L'Oréal Extraordinary Facial Oil works in harmony with your skin to give it a radiant look.
Using facial oils has been an ancient beauty secret to keep skin youthful and nourished. You may be thinking that at 21 this breathtaking Hungarian model doesn't need any anti-aging oil but with all the exhaustion caused from attending many events, these oils keep her skin looking fresh and red carpet ready after every outing.
If the idea of oils scares you, know that this formula is not only lightweight and non-greasy, but also suitable for all skin types. Even if you have oily skin, using oils helps balance out the oils in the skin even preventing oiliness since your skin doesn't feel the need to create more.
Now that her skin and hair is on point, let’s get to the brows. If you took all your brow needs and put them into one product, this L'Oréal Brow Genius Kit is simply genius!
Great for carrying around in your purse, it really does it all.
The tweezers are great for shaping or getting rid of any stubborn hairs that make a surprise appearance. You have the option of either going more natural with the powder, or a bold look using the gel like formula. I like to use the powder more towards the start of the brow just to make it look more natural and then go in with the gel for the rest of the brow to really get that really strong look. They really thought of everything by adding an angled spooly brush to comb out the brows, giving consumers the opportnity to create natural perfect brows.
Her skin looked absolutely flawless. L'Oréal's Infaillible 24 hour Matte Longwear Foundation is a great formula for a special event because you can put it on in the morning and not worry about it for the rest of the day. The demi-matte finish looks amazing in photos and gives you the best coverage to make your skin look perfect. This can be applied with a moist beauty blender or even just your fingers.
Using L'Oréal's La Palette Nude, the artist gave her a very subtle and natural smokey eye. Using a matte warm medium brown tone in the crease, the most important part of this look is blending. With a red dress, a dark smokey would be way too much. Her lips were perfectly nude with a very subtle hint of color.
The night before, Palvin had a striking eyeliner look using L'Oréal's Super Liner Perfect Slim which is great for a cat eye, but today she sported a softer liner look using the rich brown tone in the palette as a liner all around. Finish off this look with one of L'Oréal's legendary mascara's, the latest one called Volume Million So Couture gives you the look of false lashes but still keeping them soft and not clumpy.
When changing up your look have fun experimenting but also always stay true to your personal style, when you feel confident in your own skin that is the most flattering look!
