Probably the most shared image from Paris Fashion Week was the beautiful mountain of Lilac at Dior. This already set the mood for a playful, soft, feminine feel. The models at the show were glowing with a touch of pink. We got a sneak peak of how Peter Philips created this look and tips from the artist himself!
With the skin he chose a radiant look, "I blended Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation into the skin for luminous coverage" said Philips. The makeup artist also used a shimmery powder on top that has a pink undertone, but for our golden complexions try the beige version of this, Diorskin Nude Air Glowing Nude n°002. Go over the high points with a brush to apply this for an added glow and a soft finish.
For blush, Philips used Diorblush n°844 Glowing Gardens Floral Pink but if you feel like this may be too light for your complexion, try Dior Diorskin Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder in Rose, it is mixed with neutrals and will be a warmer tone but will still achieve the pink look we saw at the show. I even use this as eyeshadow sometimes.
For eyes, Philips used the 5 Couleurs n°451 Glowing Gardens palette focusing mostly on the middle pink tone. Some of the models had a more intense look with an added eyeliner, "I applied a greyish rosewood eye liner along the lash line using Diorshow Colour and Contour n°757 Orchid, which I then blended for a soft, ethereal look," he explained. I also love this liner in Iris because it reminds me of those incredible lilacs!
The lips were very subtle with a bit of a pinkish glow. Philips first made sure the lips were hydrated with Dior Addict Lip Glow n°001 Pommade and then he added Dior Addict Lipstick n°266 Delight, which he described as "a fresh and radiant pink that added pretty, natural shine.
I am obsessed with the nail shades at the show, my favorite being the n°491 Lilac for obvious reasons. Love the pale yellow shade n°302 Garden, n°301 Bleuette (pale blue) and it wouldn't be spring without a fun bright color perfect for a pedicure in n°650 Pivoine. Unfortunately none of these are available yet, I already tried searching for them!
The hair styled by Guido Palau, was split in the middle and gathered at the neck with a loose ponytail.
This look is such an inspiration, the perfect barely there look with a soft touch of pink! Love it or should I say "J'adore"!
