Leave it to Robert Wan to evoke Arabian sentiments in his latest high jewelry design The Desert Rose. The impressive necklace pays tribute to the Polynesia with the use of 64 magnetic peacock pearls, notably the Tahitian pearl, and the Middle East in its depiction of the desert with 18k pink gold rose leaves. Dispersed within the piece are fine diamonds that add a flattering element of sparkle.
In respect to the beautiful and dreamy Arabian sand dunes, a sand-like effect comes alive through a special instrument used on the varying shades of pearls, rendering a “sandblasted” and unpolished façade. Considered as the “Queen of Arabia” in the Wan’s ‘Perles Royales’ collection, the necklace makes for a grand statement. The set also includes 18k pink gold earrings and a ring.
This necklace has a life of its own by combining exotic, rich and contrasting elements of texture and shine, all along encompassing a truly unique piece of work.
