Look of the Week - Nina Ricci SS16 Runway

Red, red and red. The models at Nina Ricci Spring-Summer 2016 runway looked sensually modernist. Just like the collection, the makeup was elegant, classic but very modern at the same time. The most obvious part of this look is the red lip. We have been seeing a lot of matte lips lately but this one was definitely glossy and bright.

To get the look, I suggest starting off with a powder. I like to pair the red lips with a velvety matte skin look. Tom Ford Powder Foundation has great coverage but still looks natural.

The eyes need to look really natural. This doesn't mean you leave them as is but instead just use a color that matches your skin tone best. I like to use M.A.C. eyeshadow in Brule because it's not too white, pink nor yellow. This matches my skin around the eyes nicely but also takes away any redness.

The eyebrows need to be nicely groomed for this look since they really are the only other feature that's played up besides the lips. Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift Three-Way Shape, Lift & Shade Eyebrow Pencil in Brooke S is awesome because it has everything you need for perfect brows in one. I like using the highlighter under my brow just for an added lift.

Feel free to add more makeup to this look, this is a runway look after all. In order to really make the red lips stand out, they left everything else pretty bare. If anything you would definitely add some mascara.

Now all we need is the perfect red for this look. Guerlain KissKiss Creamy Satin Finish Lipstick in Love Kiss 326 is hydrating and feels so amazing on the lips. Add a gloss for that sexy Nina Ricci runway look. BURBERRY Burberry Kisses Lip Gloss in Poppy Red 113 is a great new option.
