Chopard remains the leader of the watch and jewelry industry regarding its Fairmined gold creations, especially with the announcement of a new partnership with PX Précinox SA, the Swiss gold refinery company, to establish the first commercial export route from Bolivia.

Thanks to the house’s support over the past two years, two more gold mines reached Fairmined certification, 15 de Agosto in Bolivia and Coodmilla in Colombia, while Chopard has pledged to buy 100% of the gold extracted by those mines.

“I am pleased with this new development in our Journey to Sustainable Luxury. This is the start of a strong partnership showing our commitment to responsible supply chain management working along like-minded partners also engaged in improving our industry in all its aspects,” said Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard.

The Fairmined gold will travel from Bolivia to land in Chopard’s workshops in Geneva. From the high jewelry creations in the “Green Carpet” and the “Palme Verte” collections to the “L.U.C Tourbillon QF Fairmined” watch, which is the world’s first timepiece made of Fairmined gold, Chopard’s creative journey to sustainable luxury is limitless.
