Challenging the traditions of perfume-making, Comme des Garçons creates “Floriental”, a fragrance that blurs the lines between floral scents and the oriental feel. Reimagining a flower that has no scent, this perfume gives a new meaning to perfumery.
Unlike other fragrances that are defined by top, middle and base notes, all its ingredients emerge with each other to create confusion. Based on the Cistus flower that has no scent, Labdanum is the starting point. This warm-scented resin obtained from the leaves and twigs of the Cistus Shrub gives the scent an intriguing and fluid oriental touch.
While sandalwood reinforces the fragrance’s opulence, Vetiver gives it a deep, woody feel highlighted with Incense and Pink pepper. In order to enrich the floral scent, the perfume uses a touch of Plum Liqueur.
Elegant and mysterious, “Floriental” proves that an odorless flower can come to life.
