There’s a thin line between science and cosmetics. On Tuesday November 10th at the Tokyo National Art Center, and for the first time ever, the House of Dior merged these two concepts into one body, by presenting a symposium on “Dior Skincare, at the cutting edge of beauty”.
This philosophy primarily relies on the true combination of pleasure and performance, in terms of skincare lines, which was thoroughly explained during the international event. Some of its products were judiciously highlighted, such as Capture Totale and Dior Prestige, since they both represent the “merge” between the cosmetic and scientific vision. Furthermore, Dior Research offered a detailed explanation of the ongoing innovative progress, while presenting a melting pot of medical and scientific discoveries and cosmetic roots.
During the event, Dior underlined its constant drive towards a more sustainable and eco-responsible fashion, by extracting natural ingredients from the international "Dior Gardens" network. What’s more, the brand also highlighted the importance of Asia’s role in the development of the Dior skincare world.
This presentation took place in the presence of international experts and scientists, as well as Fumio Nanjo, Director of the Mori Art Museum. The latter acquainted the public with the topics of "Delivering Urban Innovation," a Forum on urban innovation harnessing sustainable development.
