Van Cleef & Arpels’ The Poetry of Time exhibition, located at the Dubai Mall Atrium, begins tomorrow, February 19^th and unravels the eloquent synergy between time and poetry. Arpels’ imagination comes alive in this latest creative watchmaking chapter titled ‘Poetic Astronomy’. Arpels’ looks up at the sky and beyond to find inspiration in the cosmos – considerably an infinite source of wonder.
 
The poetic movement of the spheres, the rhythmic cycles of the sun and moon and the infinite constellations, are evoked in this exemplary watch collection. Fifteen watches will be on display including Lady Arpels Jour Nuit, a watch that depicts the endless “chase” of the Sun and Moon that will forever remain cyclic rhythm dictated by space and gravity and Midnight Planetarium is a piece that sets new dimension in High Watchmaking. Featuring a complex self-winding mechanical movement, the watch allows the wearer to tell time simply by observing the shooting star. This is the definition of taking imagination to new heights.
 
Inspired by Jules Verne famous book From the Earth to the Moon, Midnight de la Terre à la Lune reflects the voyage of imagination - the innocent childlike dream of exploration fantasy shared by so many. A star and rocket replace conventional hands and sets forth an untold journey.
 
The exhibition will feature an atelier where visitors can discover Van Cleef & Arpels’ expert watchmakers “turn movement into poetry.”
