Your Ultimate List of Double-Use Makeup Products

Since I love trying out new products, I have realized lately that there just isn’t any room left in my bathroom to store everything. I tried to come up with a way to use less products and prevent my makeup bag from falling apart. A great way to save time, money and space is to use 2 in 1 products.

The first product that comes to mind for 2 in 1 use, is a blush used as a lipstick. Stila’s Convertible Color Dual Lip & Cheek Cream has been one of my favorite blushes for years. They also make a travel size to carry in your purse. I love that I don’t have to worry about matching my blush, because my blush is my lipstick too! This is a trick your grandmother probably used when she was your age.

With all the highlighting and contouring going on, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of products. I love Lancome’s Le Duo Contour & Highlighter stick because it’s almost like having a contour kit in a stick. You can sculpt and highlight on the go using your fingers to blend it out.

Since we are talking about highlighting let’s discuss concealers. There is a major difference between a highlighter and concealer shade, they are usually opposites. For the longest time my favorite way to show off my brows has been the dual pencil. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duality in Shell/Lace conceals the bottom of the brow and the other side adds a pretty highlight for evening.

These are all also great products to use while traveling. Although I love trying out new products all the time, I basically go to my usual favorites most of the time. Keep in mind less is more. Tell yourself you are only going to use about ten products when getting ready. With all the popular makeup techniques now, it’s easy to go overboard with products and sometimes that can show on your face. Just like you wouldn’t wear all the jewelry you own in one night, don’t wear all the makeup you own either. Keep it simple and gorgeous!
