Gabrielle Chanel was the first fashion designer to launch a collection of high end jewelry. Breaking the traditional codes, she dazzled Chanel’s women with the precious collection of “Bijoux de Diamants”. To embody this part of Coco Chanel’s life, the French house welcomes in its fashion boutique at Faubourg Saint-Honoré a temporary space that showcases pieces from the “Comète Rock” collection.

The ground floor morphed into a real jewelry box with satiny pink-painted walls and a floor covered with feather designs, representing a deconstructed bird cage. The visitors enter a world of infinite femininity. White leather camellias, floating mannequins and champagne-hued wood furniture embrace the installation.

In order to bring back Gabrielle Chanel’s innovative jewelry concepts to life, parts of the female body have been sculptured into feminine gestures and attitudes: a nude back is adorned with a long necklace and a brooch is bitten by a mouth. The pieces on display are inspired by themes that have always been cherished by the house, such as the feather, the quilting, the lion, the camellia and the comet.

Paying tribute to the modern, elegant and daring femininity, Chanel links between fashion and jewelry and makes both worlds more harmonious than ever.
