For its Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection, Santoni is taking you on a sweet escape to the 1970s, where glamour meets eccentricity. It all comes down to that one special woman who is setting herself free from social norms and conventions, all the while dressing herself with a chameleon cloak to shift from slender androgyny to seductive flair. She is independent, she is exceptional but she is mostly sophisticated.
Abiding by the timeless rules of quality and value, Santoni never fails to render supreme craftsmanship of handmade creations with the help of outstanding materials, thus staying true to the Maison’s identity. The luxurious brand presents a lively mix of peculiar combinations, chic standardization and authentic class, forming timeless pieces.
Palettes of burgundy, deep green, teal peacock and maroon make their way to the collection, combining themselves with metallic flashes of gold and bronze. A bit of crocodile material from here and a tad of python, fox, mink and brocade from there and you are set for an incredible collection. The result is a remarkably unique mishmash of crocodile high-heeled sandals with wrapped around the ankle bands with a hint of mink, peep toe woven-laced shoes with metallic threading and wildly eccentric fox fur Moon boots. A depiction of double buckles and horse bits on masculine styles is duly noted, taking us back to the origins of the famed brand. While pumps are adorned in covered heels, cone-heeled boots are seeing their texture being mixed with threaded and hand-sewn patchworks; a true work of excellence worthy of Santoni’s particularized research.
