Yet another delightful wonder has taken over the Dubai Mall and The Galleria, designed by the one and only Jeremy Scott and representing the Moschino Cruise 2016 Collection. Fiery, eclectic and artistic, the collection embodies a pop-cultural outlook. It’s actually all about the Moschino retail experience, illustrated on garments and accessories.

As such, tops, skirts and dresses reveal Moschino shopping bags, mix and match with ensembles featuring credit cards details. While some skirts and jackets showcase shopping bag-like pockets, others highlight a “teddy-bear” currency with bank account digits. Sale tags were depicted on Halter tops and straight dresses, actual receipts were printed on trouser waistbands and jacket clips took the form of theft-prevention detectors. The oversized T-shirt dress was subject to Jeremy Scott’s super creative touch, showcasing oversized Moschino logos. And for those of you longing for the iconic Moschino Iphone Case, then you shall wait no more, because Scott has designed an ever-so original case portraying a spray-on detergent. Although the bags carried a somewhat “usual” concept, some of them were seen in the form of shopping bags, in order to enhance the consumeristic experience.

The retail concept was taken to a whole other level with the crisscrossed gold, leather chains reminding us of a simpler time in the eighties. To be fair, it was not all a burst of sale slogans and credit card motifs, as Scott featured in his collection a ruffled midi skirt and black lace blouse and shirtdresses.

But don’t be fooled by the “sale tags”, the Moschino collection is not yet on sale. But while you take pleasure in the garments of hyper consumerism, you will get carried away in a world of currency sweaters and Moschino- spelled gold chains.
