Often music and fashion go hand in hand, as many fashion designers draw inspiration from timeless rhythms and symphonies. Famed fashion designer Carolina Herrera is no exception, seeing that her new Tempo Rubato collection was mainly inspired by the London Cotemporary Orchestra playing the exclusive version of Tom Hodge’s “Capriccio for Carolina”. The melody itself was extracted from Beethoven’s sonata “Kreutzer” and was the chief persona behind the presentation of the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 Collection.

Herrera has used music as a beautiful inspiration many times, granting her collections a unique aura. The majestic artistic combination translates into a masterpiece that is this Tempo Rubato Collection.

This musical passion was hence translated into a ravishing bag collection, showcasing a set of peacefully engaging and harmonious details, much like the intensity of a music piece.

The collection comprises a firm medium size full-bodied bag “Minueto rubato”, a smaller version of it called ” Mini Minueto Rubato” with identical structures and the “Musette Rubata” bag, which is a wonderful mishmash of diverse leathers unfolding into exceptional patchwork pattern.

Mrs. Herrera is presenting the world with a uniquely handcrafted collection of bags, making sure that every aspect of the design process is emphatically perfected with a selection of the house’s paramount leathers, like Goya or Vals and finally with a shaping technique like no other.
