Bulgari’s New ‘B.zero1’ Collection Pays Tribute to Roman Colosseum

by Mirella Haddad

This year, Bulgari’s iconic ‘B.zero1’ collection gets embellished with new playful and precious designs. After paying tribute to the Eternal City of Rome, the new styles are inspired by the world-renowned amphitheater, the Colosseum.

Since its launch in 1999, ‘B.zero1’ has been creatively interpreted in many ways through the use of unexpected materials and colors, while always remaining true to the brand’s unique identity.  The new ‘B.zero1’ is a playful mixture between two of the line’s most successful elements: ceramic and the sophisticated use of pavé diamonds. Considered as an innovative and unconventional material, the use of ceramic in the collection honors Bulgari’s famed ‘Chandra’ collection launched in 1994.

This collection's innovative streak comes to life in the use of the white or black porcelain that is further molded into various shapes of beads, while its more simplistic side is expressed in the ceramic rings with pavé diamond edges. Inspired by the rings, pendants come in white and black ceramic as for the white or pink-gold bracelets take influence from the brand’s iconic spiral motif.
