Chopard will reveal four one-of-a-kind high jewelry pieces in their latest Green Carpet capsule collection at the Cannes Film Festival this year, which takes place from May 13th to 24th. Aligned with the brands environmental commitment, named The Journey to Sustainable Luxury, Chopard was inspired by the iconic Palme D'Or in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the prestigious award show.
Responsible for crafting the legendary sculpture since 1998, last year Chopard introduced the Palm D'Or in Fairmined gold to highlight their commitment to their long-standing philanthropic initiative. Launched in 2013, The Journey to Sustainable Luxury was created with the goal to "improve the environment and the lives of those at the very beginning of the supply chain, who are so often forgotten." In doing so, Chopard became the first luxury watch and jewelry company to support gold mining communities obtain Fairmined certification as well as social welfare and environmental backing.
As an extension of this year's Red Carpet Collection, the Green Carpet collection includes a jewelry watch, a pendant, a ring and earrings made with 18ct white Fairmined gold and set with marquise-cut diamonds that have a RJC certification. The capsule designs evoke the spirit of leaves derived from the elegant palm as well as includes a small heart detailing at the end of the stem of the Palme D'Or.
This exclusive capsule collection can be found at Chopard and select Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons stores.
