Gucci saw profits rise 5 percent in the last three months of 2015 under Alessandro Michele and Fall 2016 will be another showstopper for the house. Today, Michele took his vintage-chic aristocratic Gucci girl and embellished her with all of the opulence that winter has to offer.

A plush fur coat in sugary pink was followed by an emerald green sequinned mandarin collar blouse draped over a shimmering skirt with oversized blooms. The show switched from top-to-toe color, think red fur coat styled over red tuxedo suit to librarian-chic combination of tweed jacket and wool check pants styled with a paisley print pussy-bow blouse. Pearls embellished knuckle dusters and shoes; fringing trimmed dress hemlines and sleeves. Michele worked with grafitti artist ‘GucciGhost', as known as Trevor Andrew, who customised biker jackets, bags and fabrics.

“...the way he [Andrew] uses the logo of the company is by taking it to the streets, it is interesting how our language started by a family in Florence nearly 100 years ago can be something very contemporary” said Michele of the artist in an Instagram post. And the same can be said of Gucci’s Creative Director himself.
