How will you be wearing your furs next season? Karl Lagerfeld gave an effortless masterclass at Fendi today on how to go patterned and painterly, coloured and bold with your fall 2016 pelts, like life size fashion renditions of his cult furry monster charms.
Working with a palette of regal purples and navy with accents of orange and blue, Lagerfeld sent out models in ruffled hem smock dresses with tiered cuffs at the sleeves, pinafore dresses layered over slim fit striped knits and oversized mannish coats. In a playful mood, over-the-knee socks were styled with matching color shoes to give the illusion of boots, velvet fabrics were embroidered with fur, a fur stole had those cheeky intarsia monster eyes and even the bags featured girly ruffle trim details.
