For the fifth consecutive year, the house of Van Cleef & Arpels joins forces with Design Days Dubai and pays tribute to the “Spirit of Nature”. From March 14th until March 20th, the theme will come alive in an exhibit that will feature rare precious objects and high-jewelry pieces.
A selection of Heritage jewels and rare pieces from VC&A’s Patrimony Collection will tell nature stories, all the while shedding light on the house’s artistic flair and rich history. Inspired by 1920’s femininity, couture and florals, the Black Tie Minaudière precious box will be on display and will feature a hidden watch.
The idea of creating the Minaudière precious case saw the light from Charles Arpels visit’s to his friend Florence Jay Gould, when he saw her putting her lipstick, powder case, cigarettes and lighter in a Lucky Strike cigarette tin. It is set in white gold, round and baguette-cut diamonds, onyx, pink gold, pink round sapphires, white pearls, tortoise shell and ebony – while its timepiece is powered by a mechanical movement.
Like every Van Cleef & Arpels creation, this piece is a must-see and will definitely take your breath away.
