You only need to look at Instagram to understand the cult-like love that fans the world over have for Alber Elbaz. Since he left Lanvin, there has been no word on his replacement. With that said, Chemena Kamali – formerly at Chloé – took over the runway last night in Paris and presented her take on Lanvin.
It was an elegant collection. A palette of muted colors, think low-key lilacs and hints of pistachio were mixed with aubergine and teal and a strange salmon shade. Some of the evening pieces were stronger such as a softly pleated lilac gown with a pistachio mink stole. The accessories were beautifully bold and stood out through the intricate chunky chain choker and the little black stud leather bag.
