The second day of Arab Fashion Week brought five new designers who gloriously carried the ready-couture legacy. From Gulnoza Dilnoza to Yu Jordi Fu, Silvio Kovacic, Ultra Chic and Tiiya, the runway shows were smashing!
Gulnoza Dilnoza’s show was the first to brim with très chic numbers that set the bar really high for the rest of the designers. It was an ever-green collection with geometrically-designed clutches and beaded embroidery on a vibrant color palette.
Yu Jordy Fu’s Fashionology show in collaboration with J stuck to an elegant geometric vision, adding a futuristic glamor to the event. Colors skewed from blue to white pastel and merged in a myriad of ruffles and unparalleled designs.
On the other hand, the famed designer Sylvio Kovacic transformed the runway into a sophisticated alley of shimmering embroidery and irreverent elegance. His models strutted down the runway in black, silver and gold designs that harkened back to a time when dressing outstandingly well was a must.
Amidst the flowing dresses came Ultra Chic’s urbanist pop-artsy designs in a printed mishmash of a modernistic palette. The collection was reflective of a refreshing mood, where scarves meet perforated sleeves, high-wasted belts and a dash of ruffles.
Finally, the Tiiya - Alanoud Alattiya’s brand- collection was sublime in so many ways.
Preserved beauty and wild sophistication were the ideas on the mind of Alanoud this season, as models were donning vibrant floral headpieces with richly embroidered numbers. This collection would definitely appeal to the daring ones in the Tiiya world!
