Once again, Dubai proves its unquestionable ability to support art in all its glory, by opening its doors to the Roger Vivier “Icons Connected” travelling exhibition, which was the result of the house’s partnership with Al Tayer Group. With Dubai as its first stop, the luxurious exhibition will take place at the heart of the Dubai Mall on the 3rd of May till the 14th of May 2016, where Ines de la Fressange will grace guests with a much-wanted personal appearance.

Considered as an ode to the great Roger Vivier, the travelling exhibition will shed the light on the most iconic accessories worthy of the brand’s tumultuous history, as well as a riot of images and vintage pieces, putting into sight the most celebrated memories since the 1930’s. The concrete walk down memory lane will blossom inside the Level Shoe district and in the main mall space, perfectly showcasing the Maison’s irrefutable elegance that has long been endorsed by the late founder Roger Vivier, the creative director Bruno Frisoni and the Brand Ambassador Ines de la Fressange. Since the owner of Tod’s Group, Diego Della Valle, appointed Frisoni in 2003, the House has witnessed ingenious expansions, bringing the brands’ identity to new helms. As such, Frisoni has brought his little twist to iconic style and Ines de la Fressange has portrayed the Vivier image ever-so brightly.

Which is why the luxurious Maison is celebrating its rocketing evolution from a carriage trade shoe brand to a high-end Parisian luxury accessories brand in a two-week timeline. The Vivier exhibition will come alive through a 12-chapter tale, while showcasing signature pieces from old to new, starting with the buckle from 1965 and its evolution in time, moving on to the Virgule heel from1963 versus today’s version, Elizabeth Taylor’s shoes from 1963, Brigitte Bardot’s thigh-high boots from 1967 , The Mask collection from 1967, Queen Elizabeth’s 1952 coronation shoes, a section of Roger Vivier’s most historical signatures heels, framed cut-outs collages from the brand’s archives created originally by Roger Vivier himself, the Haute Couture 2008 Miss Viv’ design, the geometric Prismick line from 2012, Sketches by Bruno Frisoni of Maison Roger Vivier’s contemporary styles and images of A-listers wearing Vivier, such as Cate Blanchett and, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence and Brie Larson.
