Braids, Our Saviors on a Bad-Hair Day

01 of 05

Regular French braid
1 – Brush your hair back until it’s smooth.
2 – Use a comb or your fingers to separate your hair starting from your temples to the crown of your head in the shape of a “V”.
3 – Take three sections of hair from this section and begin braiding them.
4 – Incorporate hair from each side while moving on until the end.

Waterfall braid
1 – Part your hair at the center to make the hairstyle look more even.
2 – French braid from the right side of your part to your temple.
3 – Hold three strands and continue French braiding but drop the outer section of the braid that you usually cross over. In fact, it’s the piece of hair that crosses over to the right if you are braiding the right side and the piece the one that crosses over the left if you are braiding the left side.

Fishtail braid
1 – Divide your hair into two sections instead of three.
2 – Hold them in one hand divided by your pointer finger.
3 – Use the other hand to grab a small piece of hair from the outside and braid it with the opposite side.
4 – Keep doing the same until you reach the end.
Tip: the more this braid is messy, the better it looks.

Rope braid
1 – Style your hair into a ponytail.
2 – Divide the tail into two sections and twist each one in the same direction.
3 – Cross the two sections over each other and secure it at the end with an elastic band.
Tip: keep hair cream on your fingertips to keep any stray strands in place and use hairspray to fix your hairstyle.
