In an ode to femininity, Chopard keeps amazing us with new additions to its famed Red Carpet collection. Unveiled each year at the Cannes Film Festival, the Swiss jewelry house breaks the limits of its creativity in high jewelry, all the while staying true to its long-time cherished values. Whether it was a Green Carpet creation or a Red Carpet one, no chance is missed to depict a combination of ethics and aesthetics, with precious stones finding their place at the heart of each masterpiece.
Eighteen years of official partnership with the Cannes Film Festival have passed and Chopard never fails to showcase a high level of glamour. This collection was first introduced in 2007 in celebration of the festival’s 60th anniversary. With the vision of getting the stars Red Carpet ready, Caroline Scheufele dived into her imagination to create harmonious pieces and reach 69 jewelry creations for the 69th anniversary of the festival.
The 2016 Red Carpet collection pays tribute to women’s voluptuous charm through supple rounded shapes and focuses on necklaces that elegantly adorn their necks, as well as their matching earrings. Several creations feature titanium, an innovative material used for atypical shapes and can be colored with unexpected hues, while the Green Carpet creations are exclusively made of fairmined-certified gold and witness the first appearance of colored gemstones. Black opals, fire opals and sculpted jades join rubies, sapphires, diamonds and emerald to form an artwork that only a jewelry piece by Chopard can paint.
