In a fusion of diamonds, gold, mother-of-pearl and hard stones, Van Cleef & Arpels creates bold designs as part of a new jewelry collection entitled “Bouton d’or”. The expertise and rich heritage of the house comes alive in unique designs, intricately assembling motifs that mirror the virtuosity of VC&A.
The curved lines of a jewelry motif called “Paillette”, created by the house in the late 1930s, harmoniously set the tone for the Bouton d’or collection in a joyful spirit. Therefore, a play on volume and colors is created to produce a graphic yet feminine style. The result is a stunning repetition of concave or convex elements that forms a necklace, a subtly asymmetric bracelet, lean earrings, a three-dimensional ring and a generous pendant.
The collection comprises two jewelry sets, each of five pieces. While pink gold is associated with mother-of-pearl and carnelian, yellow gold is paired with black onyx and green chrysoprase.
First appearing in Van Cleef & Arpels’ archive in 1939, this traditional-meets-modern collection is a real treat for the eyes of every jewelry enthusiast. Watch the video to discover more about these creations.
