From Céline to Kenzo and DSquared2, the wet hair look has made an appearance on many Spring-Summer 2016 runway shows. We have also seen it on a lot of our favorite celebrities, from Kim Kardashian to Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna, in addition to it being models’ most favored look.
The wet hair look is not a trend to keep an eye on only because it fits perfectly well with the summer heat, but because it is also a huge time saver. To give your hair a wet effect, you need only gel, because it contains large amounts of water and holds it in the hair. You can also use wax to achieve this hair look.
First, spread gel or wax over your fingertips and apply on your dry hair. Start with a small amount and add more as needed. Comb the hair and fix it with hairspray. Use a blow-dryer to set the gel and intensify its shine.
Tip: if you prefer a softer glow and hold, you can apply a mix of gel and wax to your dry hair.
You can achieve a wet hair look whether you hair is long or short. Usually, short hair is completely covered with gel, while only portions of long hair are styled to look wet.
Easy and simple, this trend is definitely our daily go-to hair look this summer!
