What’s the most used beauty product I own? A big jar of coconut oil. I first discovered coconut oil when I started researching healthier ways to cook. It smelled so good I wanted to use it on my skin, so I did. I did some research and found out so many other ways people use coconut oil as a beauty product.
1) The most obvious way to use coconut oil is to soothe and moisturize the skin. Not only will you smell like you just went on a trip to Hawaii, but the all-natural product is safer for your skin than most lotions.
2) Another way to use this is as a-leave-in treatment for your hair. Just use a little bit so your hair doesn’t get super greasy, but leave it in focusing on the ends. Massage the rest into your scalp to get rid of any dryness or dandruff residue.
3) Coconut oil for shiny teeth? Yes, as strange as it sounds, swish it around your mouth for about twenty minutes. Just don’t spit it out in your sink because it can harden and clog your drains.
4) Your make up brushes even love coconut oil. Mix with a gentle shampoo and use it as a brush cleaner/conditioner.
5) Speaking of cleaning make up, did you know you could remove all your make up with coconut oil? Even stubborn waterproof eye mascara!
6) Coconut has a natural SPF 4, which is not high enough for a sunscreen but still such a fun fact.
7) Mixed with a few ingredients, coconut oil can help prevent sweating as a natural deodorant.
8) Want the perfect shave? Use coconut oil as a shaving cream.
9) Use it on your lips for chapped skin.
10) Helps strengthen your nails and soften cuticles.
