With Richard Gere as the President of Honor, Baume & Mercier will be the official partner of Taormina Film Fest’s 62nd edition. From June 11th until June 18th, the event will take place in the breathtaking Greek Theater in the Italian town of Taormina.

Also, Baume & Mercier will make this festival more exciting, as the Taormina Film Fest will be honored with a limited-edition Clifton watch. On June 8th, this special limited edition piece will be awarded to the winner of the “Clifton Taormina Award”, Richard Gere, during the dinner for “Time Out of Mind” movie première held at the American Embassy in Rome. It will then be auctioned off in Taormina on June 11th and the proceeds will go to the fio.PSD Foundation for the “Housing First” project and the #HomelessZero campaign.
Designed to celebrate the art of film, this timepiece – which is limited to 62 pieces exclusively available in Italy – features a 39mm 18-carat red gold case with a sapphire back adorned with the festival’s logo and a minuterie track design reminiscent of a film reel.
CEO of Baume & Mercier Alain Zimmermann will present an award to 6 international stars. While the male actors will receive the “Clifton Taormina Award” watch from the brand’s classical round range, the actresses will receive the “Promesse Taormina Award” along with a beautiful watch from the Promesse collection.
