How to get Dior’s Cruise 2017 Beauty Look

To showcase its Cruise 2017 collection, Dior travelled to England and renewed its links with the exceptional Blenheim Palace where previous collections of the house were shown in 1954 and 1958. Like the runway show, the models’ ultra-modern beauty look – created by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup – exuded memories and emotions.

The makeup in total was focused on the eyes and perfectly reflected a graphic modernity like no other. From the 5 Couleurs Palette in Parisian Sky, Philips applied a deep bronze as a color block over the entire eyelid. “This extreme look was chosen to contrast with the Baroque beauty of the décor,” he explained. For the eyebrows, he opted for the Diorshow Brow Chalk.

The complexion was very luminous and subtle touches structured the face. The skin’s tone was evened out using Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation, while the face was contoured with the DiorBlush Light & Contour, which Peter Philips applied on the hollows of cheeks and the parts of the face that catch the light. As a finishing touch, he applied a hint of Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer.

Lips were natural and colored with the light peach shade of Dior Addict Gloss in Gorgeous, as well as the nails that embodied natural elegance with Dior Vernis in Muguet.

Guido Palau made sure to create a hair look that perfectly fits the makeup. The models’ hair was pulled back and slicked down with gel, while the lengths were left naturally hanging down their backs.
