When we think about the interplay of correspondence celebrated by Baudelaire, we find that perfume echoes music. Knowing that it is impossible to see a scent, Guerlain takes the challenge to prove the contrary through the Colour Collection.
If we take a closer look at Guerlain’s journey in the world of perfume, this playful challenge is not a surprise. In fact, the house succeeded at interpreting that moment of the dusk when the day welcomes the night in L’Heure Bleue fragrance.
Inspired by a mysterious phenomenon called synesthesia, Guerlain celebrates the association of senses legendary artists experienced, by reinventing one of its most iconic creations. Designed by Baccarat in 1908 for Jacques Guerlain’s Rue de la Paix, the Quadrilobe bottle has accompanied the house in its journey. Now crafted by Brosse Glassworks, it holds the private collection’s limited-edition fragrances for the first time in a range of five subtly gradated colors of precious stones.
To make this collection appealing to the eye as it is to the nose, the neck of the bottle is adorned with a matching silk thread, giving an ultimate touch of refinement. Take a closer look at the captivating fragrances in the Photo Gallery below.
