Who doesn’t get inspired by New York? Elie Saab is a name that has become synonymous with the ultimate in luxury romance and evening glamour. This season his Couture collection was entitled Impressions Of New York celebrating the contrasts of a city that is infused with “energy, hope, magnetism and an intoxicating skyline.” Olivia Palermo, Milla Jovovich and Carine Roitfled sat front row to a show that will keep his global couture fan base - not to mention New York’s Upper East side ladies looking for charity gala dresses - beyond happy. For the modern bride and her flower girl there are matching outfits like a gold encrusted dress in a mid century silhouette that looked like it had been spun from burnt sugar . It encapsulated what the house called “alluring and accentuated femininity.” An exquisite jet-black marabou feathered jacket was paired with an embroidered and beaded nude mesh gown.
