Powder Perfect

One little compact in your purse can give you a quick touch up that can take you from shiny to flawless. Thanks to fine mineral powders a light dust of powder can give you a veil of security almost as nice as that snapchat filter. Here are a few tricks and tips for a flawless powder finish with a few of our favorites.

Hourglass Ambient Light can be mistaken for a highlighter but it’s actually a beautiful subtle powder that gives you just the right amount of glow. Perfect for that beachy glow and won't give you that matte flat look that looks unnatural. Remember, your skin is not meant to look completely matte. This is a softer, youthful and  more flattering option.

Besides using a brush you can use a round powder puff. Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder already comes with a puff applicator. Don’t slide this all over but instead push in the product almost like rolling it in. Go over it with a brush to just blend away excess.

Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Loose Powder in Warm Natural was the first powder I have ever used and still is a favorite. Tap a small amount onto the inside of the lid, swirl your brush around, tap access and apply focusing more on the T zone areas where you might get oily. Remember, the looser the brush the lighter the application.

Loose powder is great but how do you reapply without making a mess while on the go?
Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder comes with these little shavers that just let out the exact amount you want.
