How to Make your Face look Thinner

Another reason to love make up is that you can make your face look thinner without losing a single kilo.

Instead of just using powder, start off by using a creamy base for an added effect. You can either use a bronzing stick or for a more natural look, I like to use a foundation stick that’s a few shades darker than my natural color. The Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick has been my favorite for years. You can directly apply it to make a line from your ear all the way down to hollow out your cheekbones. Blend it really well but try to keep the line in place. Next, use a matte bronzer like the Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna. Go over the line we created with this powder to set it in place. Follow by your blush to accentuate your cheeks even more. Instead of going in a circle, go from the apple of your cheek up, right above the contour line to create that lifted illusion.

Make sure everything is nicely blended so it doesn’t look obvious that you are trying to contour. The products should all blend together without any harsh lines. Use the same technique on your temples near your hairline if you want your forehead to appear smaller as well. This will put the focus on the center of your face, so even if you have a small forehead just use a swipe of your brush on the hair line. The smaller the forehead, the closer to the hair line it should be.

Using just the powder, blend whatever is remaining on the brush on your jawbone to create a shadow. Don’t overdo it with this area because the contrast might make you look orangey . Just blend really well and use very little product. Now go enjoy your dessert and don’t feel so guilty!
