Shake Your Boot-ies: The Do’s and Don’ts

As you take out your fall clothes, you’ll surely notice that having boots is of great importance, both for aesthetical and for weather-like purposes. Fashion reporters claim – righteously so- that they’re extremely stylish and vastly utile come fall. They cover your feet from the cold and they add this je ne sais quoi to your silhouette! If this isn’t style, we don’t know what is!

Considering there are hundreds upon hundreds of styles to choose from, this can’t possibly be the issue here… in fact, the problem remains in the “How to wear them” conundrum. With dresses? Maybe leather leggings? None of them? All of them?

Well, in order to fully immerse yourself in the boots-experience, a few Do’s and Don’ts would be greatly applicable.

Do stick to the Golden rule: complicated boots, simple outfit. No questions asked.

Don’t wear rubber boots. Leave them for your kids, will you?

Do chose a neutral color, as to conveniently pair your boots with any outfit!

Don’t try out the fur-on-fur look. If you’re wearing fur boots, keep your outfit fur-free and extremely minimal.

Do wear equestrian boots. Yes, so in. And so trendy. Pair them with jeans and a blazer and you’re golden!

Don’t pick a single color and paint it on your whole outfit. Always diversify!

Do pay attention to the hemlines. In other words, if you’re wearing a dress, the hemlines shouldn’t cross over those of the boots.

Don’t wear knee-high boots with shorty-shorts. Ever.

Do opt for low boots to show off some skin!

Don’t tuck your flares in your boots. Either tuck your skinnies or just let your flares… flare!
