My Hermès Silk Story

The Lebanese fashion blogger behind L’Armoire De Lana, Lana El Sahely, has a pension for couture and knack for mixing Zara with high fashion in an inspiringly luxurious way. Born and raised in Cameroon, Africa, the French, English and Arabic speaking fashion enthusiast started blogging at an early age. Her passion for writing and love of fashion manifested itself into a personal take on the industry with the inclusion of beauty and lifestyle. Her famous fairytale wedding with a massive orchid covered wall inspired by Dior’s Fall/Winter 2014 Couture show and her custom-made Elie Saab gown made her a household name in the Arab world. A recent fixture at Paris Fashion Week, Lana has been appointed the brand ambassador of L’Oreal Levant. It is in her home base in Beirut where she takes us into her Hermès silk story.

A Day in the Life of Lana El Sahely and her Hermès Silk Scarf

“I grew up dreaming of being able to sport the Audrey Hepburn look one day. Love surprising my friends and stepping out of the house wearing a little black dress, classic flats and a scarf tied around my head. A little statement never hurt!”

“I'm always on the go, from one meeting or event to another, and sometimes I could really use an accessory that will change my look. Forget about the bold necklaces or the oversized earrings - is there anything prettier than a silk scarf to add colors?”

“White is definitely one of my favorite colors this summer, I love going for an all-white outfit when I need to be well-dressed for an important lunch. The key is to keep the shoes neutral and add a bold bag. Recently, it's all about accessorizing your bag, so an Hermés silk is a perfect way to do that.”
