It was on a sunny Saturday morning that Felipe Oliveira Baptista introduced Lacoste’s Spring-Summer 2017 Collection, sparking vivid imaginations and dreams.

The first model made a provocative statement with a mauve coat clenched at the waist, alluding to the feel of a bathrobe. It was audacious but also dashingly beautiful. We saw classic dresses belted at the waist adding an unearthed elegance to the warm-weather wardrobe, as well as loose pants combined with hood-ied t-shirts. We saw polo-shirt striped jumpsuits and stylish wedges, as well as maxi dresses and sports jackets in the form of midi outfits . Male models followed the lingo as well, showing off their glorious looks in bright colors, pink suits, solid parkas, striped shirts and sport-infused loose pants.

The croc logo resurfaced in an ever-so elegant way, taming the collection with a legendary signature, surely, the Lacoste signature. The show Lacoste put on today took New York Fashion Week to bold new heights and everything felt more tangible, particularly the sporty hoodies accompanying the more posélooks.
