How to Make your Blowdry Last a Week

I try to prolong my blowdry as long as possible. No more than a week max, but no less than three days at least. Of course this depends on how oily your hair gets. Here are a few tricks to get you through the week.

Day 1

Test out different products before blow drying, make sure you are using a heat protectant that doesn’t cause too much buildup since this will shorten your no wash days. Nothing like a fresh blow dry! Use as little product as possible and if you need to use oil focus only on the ends and nowhere near the scalp.

Day 2

Your hair should still be looking good, sometimes even better than yesterday. Do touch it up with a quick bang and root touch up if needed.

Day 3

Wear it sleek with a few minutes spent on a flat iron and a middle part. Changing your part is a quick way to fake a clean fresh hairdo.

Day 4

Should still be pretty straight either skip to the next day or curl it with a wand. Curling it on the first day doesn’t usually hold for me since my hair is so fine so day 2-4 is ideal.

Day 5

Time for some dry shampoo, go over your curls with a curling iron and add volume with a blowdryer at the roots.

Day 6

By now with the mix of the dry shampoo, hair spray and natural oils, your hair is begging for a wash. Perfect time for a pony tail or if it’s really bad, maybe a bun. I like to take this opportunity to put coconut oil in my hair for added hydration.

Day 7

Chances are you will see your crush today because you are a hot mess! Go wash your hair, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
