Applying lashes takes practice. Don’t be frustrated if you don’t get it right the first few times. There are so many times I have given up while getting ready, but I realized if you keep practicing and are patient you will become a pro in no time.
The first thing you need are the correct lashes for your eye shape. Sometimes you simply just have to try out different styles. Before anything, lay the lashes on your eyes to test out how they're going to look. If they are too big snip off from the inner portion of the strip (goes in the inner corner of the eye). After cutting it off re-apply, them to see if the size is ok.
Now that we have the correct size it’s time to use our glue. This can get messy so use a paper towel for the area you are working in to avoid any issues. I cut a Q-tip in half to use the edge as a tool. I dip the edge in some glue and swipe a thin line along the strip. Focus on the edges since that area usually needs more glue to anchor the lashes in place. You'll know what I mean when you look in the mirror and you see the inner corner is sticking out!
You’re probably thinking, Ok! Now stick them on your lash line. Stop! Big mistake! Wave around the lashes to dry them for about 30 seconds. If you’re in a rush, now is the time to just let that lash sit and work on the next one. This is a pro move so if you are a first timer just take your time and do one by one.
It’s showtime! Tilt your head down, relax and hope for the best. Holding your lashes from the center, lay them down onto your lash line. Keep looking down and either move on to the next one or just wait about a minute for them to dry. Voila! You did it!
