The show opened with the House’s talisman: the Burgundy color. Christian Beck set the runway on fire as soon as models stepped out in a burgundy wardrobe, from head to toe. The brand, which is inherently known for it’s vivid sea of accessories, didn’t miss the chance to parade its bags, as models were flashing them oh-so proudly. But the velvet burgundy affair was just a preamble to the rest of the show, as cut-out dresses, cropped jumpsuits and sheer maxi gowns were spotted in a fury of flagrant colors, from pale green tones to starry night blue hues. The audience watched models strut out in denim separates, brought together by a belt at the waist and metallic ensembles toned down by plain tees. Some of the gowns showed hints of cut-out graphic forms, alluding to utter femininity, one that was worthy of Aigner’s style.
It was pretty much what we’ve come to expect from the Leather King, but in a way, ten times better!
