5 Eyeshadow Shades for Day

Although a daytime look is more neutral with less makeup, the right eyeshadow shades can still look natural and subtle. For a day look think of enhancing your features when choosing shadows.

The most obvious choice is a shade that matches your eyelid but covers up any redness or darkness. Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Shell #17 is a perfect shade to use as a base. I also love using this on the lid to brighten up my eyes. Use it all the way up to your brow bone.

Another way to give you that awake and fresh look is using a shimmery shade such as the NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Andromeda. Don’t overdue it with shimmery colors for day since they will be more noticeable in daylight. Apply this in the inner corners of the eyes and a little bit right underneath the begining of the lower lash line. This can also be used for a pop of color in the middle of the eyelid or first half.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadow Eyeshadow and Powder Blush in M656 Chestnut is a great crease color. Not only does this accentuate your crease but you can also use it as a bronzer. Make sure to blend this out since if it gets too dark it might look more like an evening looks.

Another option for the crease is a mauvey tone such as the BURBERRY BEAUTY Wet & Dry Silk Eye Shadow in Dusky Mauve No.203. This is a good option if you’re sick of brown tones and want something a little more intense. Pair this with a rosey shade eyeshadow for a soft feminine look.

Last but not least let’s try a fun pop of color. CHANEL ILLUSION D'OMBRE LONG-WEAR LUMINOUS EYESHADOW New Moon 97 is a beautiful rose gold shade. Use this on the lid and blend it out at the crease for a bronzey summer look.
