MAC Fix Plus VS Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

First off, what is a setting spray and why do we need it? To some it may just look like overpriced water in a spray bottle, but for others it’s something they don’t feel complete without. I am a huge fan of the MAC Fix Plus spray not only for what it does, but how it feels. The scent alone is reason enough for me to use it. For those times that you feel like you overdid it with the powder and are running out the door, it magically saves you by giving you a splash of hydration that makes your makeup look perfect. Another way I love to use it is on my eyeshadow brush. It makes my eyeshadows really pop with just one spritz. It also makes me feel so relaxed probably because it's what a spa would smell like if you put the scent in a bottle.

I had also heard amazing reviews about the Urban Decay Setting Spray but hadn’t used it until a recent special occasion when I got my make up done. My makeup stayed put all night without retouching. This picture perfect setting spray is used by celebrity make up artists to keep their clients camera ready for hours.

Both products are great for a middle of the day refresher. They are also both great for all skin types, oily or dry, and come in a travel size which is so convenient. Travel size products are great since you can test them out on your own before committing to a full priced large version.

How do you use a setting spray? Focusing more on your face rather than your lips and eyes move the bottle around swiftly while spraying it about 8 inches away from your face. I usually make a circle or an "S" . Something about these sprays make you feel so luxurious.

In conclusion, which one gets my vote? It’s like comparing apples to oranges. The Fix Plus is more of a refreshing mist and the Urban Decay is more for keeping your makeup in place. I would suggest using the MAC for every day and the Urban Decay for special occasions.
