For Fall 2015, Chanel welcomes us to Brasserie Gabrielle, a place where models hang out in beautifully styled Chanel attire, much like Coco Chanel herself did long ago. Coco was known to attend Parisian Brasseries such as Maxim’s and Café de Paris with artist friends Salvador Dalí and Igor Stravinsky.
This collection celebrates that Parisian passion with looks for all kinds of women and styles, day or evening. Like the wardrobe, the beauty look was given a day or evening attitude as renowned hairstylist Sam McKnight and makeup artist Tom Pecheux created two different looks for the show.
McKnight’s first look was a sleek side-parted ultra-modern ponytail. The second hairstyle, inspired by waitresses, was a messy loosely pinned back do finished with a black satin ribbon tied over top as a headband.
For his part, Pecheux used the same Chanel makeup products to create two different beauty looks - both featuring bold statement eyes. The first look consisted of a smoky charcoal shadow that started from the eyelids and extended to the eyebrows. The second had a more retro feel with clean drawn-out black cat-eyes.
